The following items and recyclables are accepted at this transfer station. The tipping fee applies to all materials listed, unless otherwise indicated. Please refer to the notes for information where restrictions apply.

We accept trailers and boat hulls under 17 feet in length. Motors, electrical, fluids and tires must be removed before disposal. A $50 surcharge will apply for all waste over 2.5 meters (8 ft.) in length.
BBQs
Free, tipping fee does not apply provided the item is primarily composed of metal. Various items including stoves, refrigerators (fridges), freezers and BBQs, up to 6x6x3 feet. There are no limits on quantity of appliances.
cardboard
Free, tipping fee does not apply. Waxed cardboard is not accepted.
carpet
concrete, asphalt or bricks
Concrete, asphalt and bricks are accepted as fill material with a limit of ½ cubic metre (aprox. 2 wheelbarrows). Some older chimney structures were made with asbestos cement, or transite.  Transite was used as a mortar material between the years of 1905 and 1950, according to Asbestos.com.  A laboratory test may be required confirming that the material is asbestos free.  You can also contact RCBC at 604-732-9253 or rcbc.bc.ca to locate the closest recycler.
drywall
We accept up to ½ tonne of CLEAN drywall per trip. Drywall must be separated from the garbage (no tiles, plaster, or stucco attached). A 50% fee surcharge will apply if drywall is mixed with garbage. A laboratory test may be required confirming that the material is asbestos free.  For larger quantities, contact New West Gypsum at 604-520-6647 or www.nwgypsum.com .
freezers

We accept residential amounts of food waste including small amounts of raw meat. To dispose of large quantities of raw meat, contact RCBC at 604-732-9253 or rcbc.bc.ca.

glass bottles and glass jars
Free, tipping fee does not apply. No window glass, ceramics, mirrors, broken glass, or light bulbs. No hazardous chemical or paint containers. Lids removed.
glass windows
Commerical amounts of glass will not be accepted.
green waste (yard clippings)
$63/tonne. No fee for Coquitlam residents for drop off at the Coquitlam Construction Recycling Facility (please bring proof of residency).
gypsum

hot tubs
If the hot tub is larger than 1.2 meters by 2.5 meters and weighs more than 100 kg, a fee surcharge of $50 will be applied.
insulation
We accept double bagged fiberglass (pink) insulation only. We do not accept blown insulation, pipe insulation or any asbestos containing insulation. To dispose of the restricted material please contact the Vancouver Landfill at 604-873-7000.
mattresses
Tipping fee of $15 per mattress. Clean mattresses can be donated to charity. Contact RCBC at 604-732-9253 or rcbc.bc.ca for other options.
metals & aluminum cans and other items (trays, foil paper)
Free, tipping fee does not apply. No aerosols, hazardous chemical or paint cans. Clean and free of contaminants.
oil filters

propane tanks (small camping size generally green in colour))

Stumps over 30cm in diameter are NOT accepted at the Coquitlam Construction Recycling Facility or Abbotsford (Matsqui) Transfer Station.  Stumps over 30cm (1 foot) in diameter are accepted at Coquitlam, North Vancouver, or Surrey (Port Kells) as regular household garbage and may be subject to surcharge.
