Wastech's management system has been certified to ISO 14001. ISO 14001 Environmental Standard is a management approach based on setting goals, developing programs to achieve the goals, measuring the results and review.

Environmental Policy
Wastech provides waste management services that include receiving and disposal of municipal solid waste, resource recovery from the waste stream, and recycling. As a leader in waste and recycling management we are committed to:

• managing our activities, products, and services utilizing a process approach to minimize any adverse impact on the environment
• complying with legal and other environmental requirements that apply to our activities, products, and services
• sustainable development and the prevention of pollution (through the use of processes, practices, techniques, materials, products, services, or energy conservation, and promotion of waste reduction) to reduce adverse environmental impacts.

The company is also looking to apply the OHSAS 18001 (Health & Safety) standards to its operation.The OHSAS (Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series) is a British Standard for occupational health, safety and environment management systems and is similar to ISO 14001.
