Jan. 6, 2010 - Cache Creek Landifll Extension Project Approved --The BC Ministry of Environment granted Belkorp Environmental Services Inc. (Wastech's parent company) and the Village of Cache Creek an environmental certificate for a 46-hectare extension to the existing landfill. The extension provides a flexible bridge to zero waste that can accommodate an additional 12.6 million tonnes of disposal capacity (between 17-25 years).

May 7, 2009 - New fuel source to significantly reduce GHG emission on road to Cache Creek Landfill -- In cooperation with Belkorp Environmental Services Inc., Westport Innovations and Terasen, Wastech has completed a pilot confirming the viability of liquefied natural gas (LNG) as an alternative fuel to diesel for trucks that transport waste between Vancouver and Cache Creek.
